The right Tripleseat alternative depends on why you are looking. Perfect Venue and Planning Pod describe similar venue-focused products, Event Temple focuses on hotels, spreadsheets suit very small venues, and VenueDirector is an early-access product that covers inquiries and availability today. Pick on fit and total cost, not on feature lists.

## What does Tripleseat say it offers?

Tripleseat describes itself as "all-in-one event management software for venues," built for hospitality venues to manage their events business.[^1] Its home page organises the product into four jobs: capture inquiries through an automated inbox, book with proposals and contracts, plan with floor plans and staffing, and grow with insights and reporting. It also names payments processing, banquet event orders, a guest portal and direct booking.[^1]

The page says the product serves restaurants, hotels, catering companies, wedding venues, breweries, wineries, bars, nightclubs and enterprise groups, and states a figure of more than 20,000 venues worldwide. That figure is Tripleseat's own claim and we have not verified it.[^1] The page we read did not show prices or a free trial and directed visitors to request a demo.[^1] [REVIEW]

## Who are the alternatives?

### Perfect Venue

Perfect Venue describes "event management software for restaurants, venues, and hospitality groups" with a central calendar, automated banquet event orders, Stripe payments, email templates and an AI reply feature.[^2] It publishes plan prices: Professional at $199 a month per location billed annually and Premium at $299, plus a 14-day free trial, as of October 2026.[^3] [REVIEW]

### Planning Pod

Planning Pod lists a booking calendar, floor plans, banquet event orders, tour scheduling, equipment management, lead management, proposals, contracts, e-signatures and client portals, for venues that include wineries, country clubs, hotels and museums.[^4] The page we read showed no prices.

### Event Temple

Event Temple calls itself "the sales and catering software purpose-built for hotels," and lists group room blocking, function space management and property management system integrations. It says pricing starts at $249 a month.[^5] It is aimed at hotels, so check fit if you run a different type of venue.

### Spreadsheets, calendar and email

A shared calendar, a spreadsheet and reply templates cost little and work for a small venue. See [spreadsheets versus booking software](https://venuedirector.com/blog/venue-booking-software-vs-spreadsheets) for where it stops working. Our free [venue inquiry reply email templates](https://venuedirector.com/tools/venue-inquiry-reply-email-templates) help you answer quickly in the meantime.

### VenueDirector

VenueDirector is in early access. Today it has venue and space setup, a calendar with availability and conflict checks, an inquiry form, leads and client records, and an automatic reply to new inquiries. Proposals are in progress and online payments are planned. It does not yet offer what the full products above describe. [REVIEW]

## How do I choose between them?

Decide on five points and write the answers down:

1. **Venue type and size.** One room or several? One location or many?
2. **Which steps you want in software.** Inquiries only, or proposals, contracts, payments and event orders too?
3. **Total cost.** Ask for it in writing, with processing fees and term.
4. **Setup effort.** Who will enter your spaces, packages and templates, and how long will it take?
5. **Support and data.** How do you reach a person, and can you export your data?

Run a real inquiry through each finalist. The comparison guide on [the best venue management software](https://venuedirector.com/blog/best-venue-management-software) sets out the same checks across the products, and [what venue management software is](https://venuedirector.com/blog/what-is-venue-management-software) explains the categories.

## What should I fix before I switch?

Check whether software is the real problem. If inquiries are slow to arrive or never come, the issue may be your website or your Google listing. The free [Venue check](https://venuedirector.com/check) looks at both, and [getting more inquiries from your website](https://venuedirector.com/blog/how-to-get-more-event-inquiries-from-your-venue-website) explains the changes that matter most. A new tool helps you handle inquiries; it does not create them.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Tripleseat publish its prices?

The Tripleseat pages we read in October 2026 did not show prices and directed visitors to request a demo. Check the vendor’s current site and ask for a total quote.

### What should I ask a vendor that does not list prices?

Ask for the monthly fee, payment processing fees, charges for extra locations or users, onboarding costs and the contract length, in writing, before you agree to anything.

### Is a hotel product a good fit for a restaurant or wedding venue?

Sometimes, but read who the vendor says it is for. A product built around hotel room blocks and property systems may include things a restaurant or a barn does not need.
